Eduardo Prud'homme studied Actuarial Science at the National University (UNAM). He has been working in the Energy Sector for more than 19 years. He first started working as analyst in PEMEX in the Refining Division following on from a master degree in Economics. His main duties were designing optimization models, planning specific projects related to crude oil loads, liquids logistics and inventories.
In 1999, he performed the same type of activities at Deer Park Refinery during a training program agreed between PEMEX and Shell.
In 2001, he joined the Energy Regulatory Commission of México (CRE). He worked as staff economist and contributed in developing the PEMEX natural gas pricing formula. After that he started to be responsible of the rate cases around the National Pipeline System belonging to PEMEX and several private project related to natural gas networks. In 2010, he was named General Director of the Ratemaking office at the CRE and 4 years later he was promoted as Head of the Economic Analysis of the CRE.
Since July 1st he became Head of the Technical System Operations and Planning Office at the National Natural Gas Control Center.
